How much does mixing and mastering cost?

A stereo mix and master starts from £400 per song. That includes stem preparation, editing, denoise and restoration when needed, the mix, three rounds of revisions, mastering of the approved mix and mastering of the instrumental if needed. EPs and albums get a package discount.

Do you mix in Dolby Atmos?

Yes. An Atmos mix of a track mixed elsewhere is £200 per song. If you book a stereo mix with me, your first Atmos mix is free, then £100 per song. You get an ADM BWF master ready for Apple Music, Tidal and Amazon Music.

Can you mix remotely?

Yes. I work with artists and labels all over the world. You send the files, I send mixes back to review, and you can attend in person at the studio in Hackney if you prefer.

How should I send my files?

Export every track as a 24-bit WAV, all starting at the same point, and include a rough mix as a reference. WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive all work.

How many revisions do I get?

Three rounds of revisions, and each round addresses all of your feedback.

How long does a mix take?

Usually two days per song.

Where is the studio?

Pony Studios, 47-49 Tudor Road, London Fields, Hackney, London E9 7SN.

How do I book a studio session?

Book and pay online on the booking page. Sessions are 2 hours for £120 (the minimum), half a day for £220 or a full day for £450.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Shorter sessions are paid in full when you book. For two full days or more, you pay a 60% deposit to book and the balance before the session.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel at least 48 hours before your session and you can choose one free reschedule or a full refund.

Do you teach lessons?

Yes. One-to-one lessons in recording, mixing and production are £60 an hour, with a 2 hour minimum. Book on the Classes page.

Who have you worked with?

My credits include U2, The Rolling Stones, Jack Savoretti and George The Poet, with releases on labels including Island, Universal and BMG.
